Service Technician
Type: Full-Time / Seasonal (Approx. 9 months)
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm (extended hours may be required)
Wage: $18/hr to $23/hr

Blue Jay is a full-service Irrigation company installing both irrigation and landscape lighting. Our knowledgeable service team is committed to installing top quality products, using the latest technology. Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining a strong positive client experience is at the heart of all that we do.
- Clear open communication with the rest of the Blue Jay team ensuring a seamless customer experience ensuring our commitment to quality and workmanship.
- Attend company/department meetings, tradeshows and industry events as required, as well as other training opportunities.
- To uphold Blue Jay standards of conduct, remaining professional in all interactions, keeping open lines of communication with customers and/or contractors.
- Use Service Titan software effectively, writing clear concise notes, tracking inventory, hours and completing assessments.
- Follow directions provided by the Service Leader. Working as a team and completing what needs to be completed.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with scheduling software, experience with Service Titan is an asset.
- Must have the ability to take initiative, and think critically, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience working outside for long periods of time, experience with manual labour or capable of physical labour
Working Conditions:
- 10-hour days/ 50-hours a week. Extended schedules may be necessary at times.
- Working outdoors in the elements.
- Extensive travel is required; however, a service vehicle will be provided.
- Ability to sit, squat, kneel, stand, walk, or dig for long period of time.
- Full range of body movements required including reaching, crouching and hand dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
